What type of business are you? The tale of two businesses

This is the tale of two businesses.

The first business seems like they're chugging along. They're making sales left and right, they're “successful. “

They're getting bookings, whatever. The second business, doesn't seem like they're chugging along. They're making slow progress. They're having, you know, a lot of obstacles in the way.

which business is the most successful?

Well, that's a very subjective question because both businesses are making progress.

The Business is more of a “hare” mentality, the racing ahead. It looks like everything is great but can they sustain that for five ten years down the road?

Where the second business has more of a slow and steady wins the race mentality.

They have a lot of obstacles, they're still working a nine-to-five during the daytime, they're trying to build their side hustle, they have families, they have young children at home, they have school age children.

And so by the time that the children graduate - they can start going full-time in their side hustle and quit their 9-5.

So again which business is the most “successful.” I would argue- hat if you are in the second business category- like myself, they have  doing this a long time and you seem to be slow and steady- making small progress and small changes over time.

I would argue that actually you are the most successful because you're gaining valuable skills.

You're learning to sustain your business o ver a long period of time.

You're learning healthy business, habits.

Your learning marketing habits, your learning skills.

So that, 15, 20 years down the road, you don't have any surprises.

You have Seen it all, done it all.

Where the first business might fall trap to burn out- to stress- and overwhelming themselves too quickly too soon- building, too quickly too soon and then feeling overwhelmed and then quitting.

Which is what I see over and over and over again.

So if you're in the second business category that you're slow and steady, you don't feel like you're making a lot of progress, hold on!

Because you're going to be the one that's going to sustain in the long run.

So that's not a pro tip for you today. Have a good one and slow and steady always, wins the race.

Which type of business do you have?

Do you feel “unsuccessful” like you are making slow progress?
